In charge of the churches in the section: Huntington, Bishopthorpe, Acaster Malbis, Sheriff Hutton, Thornton-le-Clay, with pastoral responsibility for Methodists in Stockton on the Forest. Responsibilities also include worship, administering holy communion, baptisms, weddings, funerals, pastoral care of the members of the church. He is also responsible for the business meetings of the church. |
| Pastoral Assistant: William Swires |
William works alongside Graham at Huntington and Thornton-le-Clay, involved with training, working with young people, overseeing the cell groups, community outreach and spiritual growth. |
| Stewards: | The stewards have responsibility for the life and witness of the church as a whole. They are responsible for opening the church and getting it ready for worship and looking after the preacher. They also provide a link between the church congregation and the minister. |
| Treasurer: | As the job suggests she is responsible for all aspects of finance within the church. |
| Property stewards: | Their job is to look after the building, ensuring it is kept in good repair and doing jobs as required. |
| Home and World Mission secretaries: | Work to highlight the work of the missions through special services each year, and circulating publicity about missions. Also handle the money collected by members week by week. |
| Sunday School Superintendent and staff: | Look after the young people in our church with Sunday School each week. They also arrange outings and participate in circuit youth events. |
| Church Council secretary: | Responsible for the minutes of the business meetings of the church, including Church Councils and General Church meetings. He also deals with correspondence and other matters arising from these meetings. |
| Pastoral visitors: | A team of about 10, who each visit a number of members and others linked with the church, especially if they are ill or unable to attend worship. |
| Communion stewards: | These people are responsible for preparing the bread and wine for communion and ensuring everything is set out as the Minister requires. They also ensure the communion part of the service runs smoothly. |
